Bonsai Palm

5 Steps to Make Palm Bonsai

Step One:
Coconuts are used for Bonsai:
Kelapa Gading Milk
Ivory white coconut milk coconut hybrid species is widely grown in subtropical areas, but usually used as a substitute coconut palm tree garden.

Kelapa Gading Red
Kelapa Gading also red ......
is a hybrid coconut with red color yellowish coconut is very unique and beautiful to be made of palm bonsai, but the processing process must use a lot of fertilizer and other plant vitamins, because coconut red ivory vulnerable will lose (cambium) of green leaf substance, so that if the lack of substance planting, then the red ivory palm trunk will change color to green, and red substances will be lost, so the thing to do is replace the soil medium, fertilizer, and other vitamins.

Coconut Albino (White Silver color)
This is the same type of coconut palm above 2 examples, but many of the coconut bonsai hobys change in order to have a white, silver rod to make it look unique or albino (to turn it into an albino would I explain in the next chapter).

Step Two
Find old coconut seedlings would be better if the coconut is plucked straight from the tree, because seedlings sprout grows older faster but if the seeds have fallen to the ground will result in a form that is less attractive and easy kentosnya fragile due to last fall, would be perfect if coconut which will be made bonsai has kentos (shell) is very small and has a large root, because when viewed from a small kentos will make it easier to form the stem as we want.

Third Step
Coconut who do not yet have buds should be placed in moist soil and contain lots of water, about 1-2 weeks is usually grown coconut shoots. If you want a form which surrounded the root kentos should place the coconut in a standing position (vertical), but if you want a shape like a snail then place the sleeping position (horizontal), the shape of palm position according to your imjinasi.

Fourth Step
Process Plant open coconut fibers that have been sprouting (with height 3-5 cm) using the tip of a spoon or a small dagger slowly and carefully so as not about the roots and should not be interrupted. Clean the small fibers are still attached to the kentos by using a thin knife (Cutter) to make it look clean, if you want to look slick, shiny brown kentos kentos using lighter fuel is slowly / lukewarm. (This process is a bit risky and should be done with caution.) Cut slowly (2-3 strands of buds) buds of the most under / which is old by using a thin knife (Cutter), after planting in pots that have been provided. If you want to palm shoots grow faster should cover shoot with a bottle of mineral water that has been cut in the mouth of the bottle as high as 5 cm. This process is also to avoid the shoots of mealybug pests in the bud.

Step Five
Cutting process. If the coconut is grown as high as 15-20 cm, slice the bottom buds to form the stem did this over and over at least 3 days, in the process of doing panyayatan careful not to graze new shoots that will grow, if it happens then bonsai will experience decay (failure and death). This process is done forever to grow bonsai did not form a regular coconut. Wash plant 1 day once in the afternoon or evening, it's good to flush by using MSG or salt water solution.
Good luck,.!

Bonsai Satigi

There are a few favorite types of plants commonly used by bonsai grower as a basic requirement bonsai plants. Among them are citrus kikit, Javanese tamarind, banyan, and sentigi. Of several types used, sentigi have better endurance for the formation of bonsai than other types. Because the origin of this strong growth in coastal areas with extreme conditions.

Viewed from this plant origin, it can be ascertained if sentigi could live in any climate, either hot or cold. Especially for the hot conditions of the region, especially in big cities such as Surabaya and Jakarta. Besides easy in maintenance, sentigi also has good movement patterns, tertutama of the elasticity of the stem and leaf characters are small. Potential basis of the already possessed greatly facilitate the bonsai grower to do the work in accordance with their wishes. By taking the option to bonsai sentigi, Bambang admitted the results obtained are no longer conventional. One was on show from the collection sentigi bunjin gascado or in the Indonesian language is translated as dance moves upward and downward plunge.

From the collection can be seen that the character of the stem, branches, and twigs which extends processed, so it looks the trees are dancing. Then in one of the branches there is a downward circular motion, so-called plunge.Another collection is introduced bunjin slanting which means dance which skew. The name was appropriate, because of the distinctive character of the dance that is strengthened by the emergence of large branches leaning out of the pot and swerve onto the back again to the center. Of the several collections that are owned, it appears that the new guy get his second son in early August is like the movement of dance in bonsainya processing. It is also supported by the type of bonsai sentigi that strengthens his character.

According to Bambang, the flow in the world of bonsai itself consists of several characters, but are usually separated into its conventional and non conventional. For conventional flow typically uses the banyan tree with umbrella-like shape.

As for non-conventional will take some new movement techniques such as dance or fault. "All the technique is the same, provided that the end result is disproportionate and can cause feelings of calm for those who see," he said.
Easy Care

Sentigi come from several islands that spread throughout much of Indonesia and some tropical islands in the world, such as South Sulawesi and African countries. With the initial habitat in coastal areas, making it the plants that can grow anywhere, even with treatment and regular treatment.Naturally, if treatment is not too difficult, provided that fulfilled three important elements, namely water, wind, and strong heat. These three elements are absolutely filled to obtain maximum growth. In fact, it is still said Bambang, sentigi can survive with a spray of salt water that contains more elements. That we can see in his nurseri locations in the city of Surabaya, where slightly salty groundwater. In addition, the existing air, contains a lot of pollution from the number of vehicles passing near nurserinya. But it makes a distinct advantage. "Sunlight and strong gusts of wind needed by sentigi," he said simply.

For the planting medium that is used is quite simple, ie with composition dominated Malang sand and manure. Selection of sand was deliberately taken, because the views of the original habitat of this plant is located on the coast, so that the sand content is quite large. The planting medium should be watered regularly and kept moist. This was done to avoid crop water shortage. To remember is that sunlight is absolutely necessary, so it is recommended to put this plant outdoors.Disease so one thing is feared by the hobbyist ornamental plants, including bonsai sentigi. The main pests that attack is often red and worm infestation, which can attack the leaves and stems. At the level of severe, bonsai that you own could be dead. The initial steps when you are exposed to bonsai pests such as separating the bonsai with other collections. This was done to avoid infection. If only one or two affected plants should be cleaning without chemicals. The trick, of course you have to look one by one part of bonsai and remove lice and caterpillars.

But if the attack was severe and spread of pests in other bonsai collection, a last course by using pesticides. Do not forget to use appropriate doses, because if the excess can lead to pest resistant and more difficult to eradicate.Let Grows Wild for Maximum ResultsFor the formation of bonsai sentigi, Bambang using meliarkan first crop, so that ease the process of formation. Bonsai from raw materials obtained, should be allowed to grow wild to see the first movement. This step was taken to adjust the character of plants that have elongated branches.Having seen the direction and the formation of the material, then do wiring and purning (pruning) some branches are not needed. After the first wiring, diliarkan plant back so that the accuracy of the cutting process and pengkawatannya visible."If we are wrong to cut the branch, the result could be fatal and workmanship will be more difficult," said Bambang. "Even from a few ingredients that work there are some that are sold cheaply, as a result of cut branches. Mistakes are made when starting to learn, but now it can be anticipated, "he added. After growing wild from the first wiring, then performed a second purning for branches that are not used. From the second wiring process, then bonsai have shown character and further treatment was done to adjust with the growth of trees.

Bonsai Adenium

Adenium or Cambodia, Japan (Japanese frangipani name itself is actually misleading, because it can be identified with frangipani, which is mostly found in the area of the cemetery. While frills Japanese words as if the flowers are from Japan, whereas Adenium originated from West Asia and Africa) come from a dry desert area, west of mainland Asia to Africa. It is called there is a Desert Rose (desert rose). Because they come from arid regions, these plants prefer dry conditions than the media is too wet. Called as Adenium, because one is a local place of origin Adenium Aden (capital of Yemen).

Indonesian Society named Adenium as frangipani Japan, may be associated with stereotypes that circulate. Examples of fruits that are commonly referred to as Bangkok, while a small plant called Japanese, so if there is Cambodia's long ago that figure was tall plants, the plants so there is a small figure but similar frangipani, frangipani disebutlah as Japanese.
Actually is kind Plumeria frangipani, distant relatives of Adenium. Some of the differences between the Plumeria Adenium are as follows:

Adenium large trunked with the bottom resembles a bulb, but the figure itself was small plants with small leaves long. Adenium Root can also be enlarged like tubers.

Plumeria small trunked without any form of elongated tubers, with the figure of plants that can grow big and tall, with long leaves and large shapes.

Bayan

Banyan (Ficus benjamina and several other species, tribe or fig-araan Moraceae) is very familiar with indigenous cultures of Indonesia. Plants form large trees are often considered sacred and protect the local population. The offerings are often given under a banyan tree which was old and large because it is considered as a place to gather magical power. Some people find places around the banyan tree is a place "haunted" and should be shunned.

Banyan tree, also called Waringin or (somewhat mistakenly) fig (fig ki, ki means "tree"), known as garden plants and potted ornamental plants. Breeders have developed a banyan leaf stripe (variegata) are popular as an ornamental plant room. Banyan is also commonly used as an object of bonsai.

Bodhi tree is often interchangeable with the banyan tree, though both are different types.

Penjing

Penjing (Chinese: pinyin: pen jǐng; literal meaning tray scenery) or penzai (Chinese: pinyin: pen zai; meaning literally plant trays) is the ancient Chinese art of planting trees or plants that are made in order to remain stunted size by pruning to generate forms that meet the criteria of aesthetics and created illusions about the age of the plant. In general, penjing divided into three categories based on the subject: penjing tree (shumu penjing), penjing scenery / landscape (Shanshui penjing), and water and soil penjing (shuihan penjing). Japanese bonsai art originally came from penjing (bonsai is the Japanese pronunciation for penzai).

In general, the main visual difference between bonsai and penjing is on form. Bonsai tend to have the forms simpler (looks more "subtle"), a large proportion of branches exceeded, and planted in pots simple shape with a color or colors bleak land. Conversely, penjing designed in various shapes that looked "wild", and can be planted in brightly colored pots or other forms that are more creative. Fans of the mini plant outside of Asia often blur the distinction penjing and bonsai for the purpose of exploring the potential of plant pots and materials, and want to be free from the style and traditional techniques.

Group (Yoseue?)

More than one tree planted together in a shallow pot or planted in stone. Trees planted to only a few trees of one species, or a mixture of several different species. The value of creativity can be elevated with a mix of work objects that are placed as an additional decoration.

Hang (, Kengai?)

Likened to a tree growing on steep wall surface in the seaside cliffs or steep valley walls. Grow like a tree trunk hanging down the cliff. Top of the tree to hang far beyond the pot bottom. When the top of the tree does not exceed the basis of the bonsai pot is called Half Hanging (Han Kengai).

Trunked Many (say?)

From a base of the roots grow more upright than a tree trunk. When you grow two trees, the bonsai is called trunked Two (Sokan). If there are three trees, so-called trunked Three (impressive). Bonsai trunked five or more called Tunggul Portrait (Kabudachi). Stem odd number is preferred. In addition to two trunked bonsai, bonsai with an even number is unpopular with the stem and not made.

Tilt (Shakan?)

The trunk is tilted to one side like a constant wind direction. Just as there are objects blocking on one side, leaning tree grows to the other side. Characteristic of this form of branches that exist only at the top of the trunk flexion, and criss-cross on the left-right and front-rear.

Vertical winding (, Moyogi?)

Upright tree trunks winding to the left and right. Stem diameter increasing upward decreasing with the balance of left and right is good. A good branch is a branch that is at the top of trunk flexion. Branch located on the inside of the curve cut. From the base of the stem to the top of the tree can be drawn straight line, and those who see do not feel worried about the balance tree.

history of bonsai Plant

Bonsai comes from the art of miniaturizing plants called penjing (from the period of the Tang Dynasty. At the tomb of the son of Empress Wu Zetian are murals that depict waitress who brought the flowering trees in shallow pots. Pot is a small shallow miniaturization of natural scenery. [3 ]
The nobility in Japan began to recognize penjing around the end of the Heian period. Kanji script for penjing. pronounced the Japanese as bonkei. Similarly, in China, bonkei in Japan is also the miniaturization of natural scenery. Art that is only enjoyed by the upper class, especially among the courtiers and samurai, and just called bonsai in the Edo period [4]

Growing bonsai is a sideline samurai of the Edo period, when the bonsai's popularity peaked. Since the Meiji era, regarded as a hobby bonsai style. However, maintenance and watering bonsai takes a lot of time. In line with the environment they live in Japan are more modern and do not have a page, bonsai enthusiasts finally confined to the elderly.

Upright Straight ( Chokkan?)

Upright tree trunks vertically upward. The tree trunk is said to have an ideal if a tree has a trunk diameter of more upward decreasing, starting from the stem near the roots. The tree is said to have an ideal branch when the branch is on the front side, rear or side to side intersect each other. Distance antardahan increasingly upwards increasingly narrow. Ideal form of the root is the root which when viewed from above, radiating in all directions.

Bonsai Plant

is a plant or tree that dwarfed in shallow pots with the purpose of making a miniature of the original shape of an old tree in the wild. Planting (sai, 栽) performed in shallow pots, called the bill (盆). The term bonsai also used for traditional Japanese art in the maintenance of plants or trees in shallow pots, and appreciation of beauty of form branches, leaves, stems, and roots of trees, and shallow pot into a container, or the overall shape of the plant or tree. Bonsai is the Japanese pronunciation for penzai (盆栽).

This art includes various cutting techniques and pruning plants, wiring (the formation of branches and branches of trees by wrapping the wire or bend them with wire ties), and makes the roots spread on the rock. Making bonsai takes a long time and involve a variety of jobs, including fertilization, pruning, crop establishment, watering, and replacement of pots and soil. Plants or trees dwarfed by cutting roots and branches. The tree is formed with the help of wire on twigs and tunasnya. Wire must be taken before they could scratch the skin of the tree branch. Plants are living things, and there are no bonsai that can be said is complete or finished. Changes that occur continuously in the plant according to season or natural state is one of the attractions of bonsai.
