Bayan


Banyan (Ficus benjamina and several other species, tribe or fig-araan Moraceae) is very familiar with indigenous cultures of Indonesia. Plants form large trees are often considered sacred and protect the local population. The offerings are often given under a banyan tree which was old and large because it is considered as a place to gather magical power. Some people find places around the banyan tree is a place "haunted" and should be shunned.


 
Banyan tree, also called Waringin or (somewhat mistakenly) fig (fig ki, ki means "tree"), known as garden plants and potted ornamental plants. Breeders have developed a banyan leaf stripe (variegata) are popular as an ornamental plant room. Banyan is also commonly used as an object of bonsai.


 
Bodhi tree is often interchangeable with the banyan tree, though both are different types.
